Broken Promises
Leave us with messages to remember
the Past comes to haunt us
when we least expect it to
the people who lied to us
come begging for mercy
to forgive is to be pious
for second chances come rarely
and soon they forget
times have come to this
when evil shows its colors
when it is red and white and green
do not be fooled
as it is not one of us
the truth is in front
touch it feel it
know that it exists
and choose to trust it or leave it
this is our last chance
for if not we shall for ever hold our peace in pain
