i stepped into new day
unknown to me
there was a film
of shallow water that lay
looking for a fish i saw
ten days before in a dream
im not stupid i know
but i never really make sense at all

to the world im gray
red blue and a haze
to the people im dead
inside out and complete

in a dream i dream t
i was alive and wondering
the glimpse of life
that i had savoring

this moment i seize
for it is my eternity
this life i dint choose
and cause this calamity

as a shadow i exist
in the mist in the wind
in the midnight moon i play
my songs of freedom in harmony

my soul is released and free
though my hands are in cuffs
my life is complete
more than any so called free man

for it is not my sin im borne
though through love or scorn
i live to be of help
to my brothers and sister to get out of the shell

Maldives Environment Diying!!!!!

there are too many issues and too little concern n importance given by the necessary authorities..our environment is dying!!!
ill list out some problems:

1-improper waste management no proper methods of managing..most islands still practice dumping into sea or in fresh water lakes called kulhi government hasn't researched or given alternate or better methods..most islands burn it or some have it collected via MTCC landing crafts and takes ti thilafushi island n burnt no recycling or proper separation or proper protection of waste leaking into sea
2-lack of public knowledge and government interest in the environment:the public have not been made aware and government authorities have failed to do so...no proper laws and regulations
3-biodiversity lost:species rare to only Maldives are going extinct...no proper protection policies or implementation...sharks and turtles and birds...
4-over fishing:without realizing it our fish supplies are diminishing..with changing sea temperatures and currents...new methods need to be found
5-education :our education system has very little about our fragile environment...no schools and research centers are in Maldives just because a government corrupt person cant; own it...

well i listed these as these are issues i felt ppl neglect a lot when talking about the environment...thing is without this environment being protected we will not b here..well b second grade citizens on a foreign land or under the sea...
AWARE THE WORLD THROUGH BLOGGERS FOR THE ENVIRONMENT!!!

nobody gives a shit what happens to this country..everybody for himself...!!!

well as like of everyone else i guess i should reel in the anchor and sail to my own destination. leave the fleet or abandon ship.who cares what happens to everyone else eh?? save myself!!!
well i would if i was amongst a lot of other people in Maldives. it seems to be the common trait. people do not care about fellow brothers n sisters. no body is perfect but you could help someone else just even though you have nothing to gain. cant u?
i hope u understand my point. i'm trying to say social,community,volunteer work doesn't exist in Maldives. the concept of helping out your neighbor went away with development...with buildings n cement walls between neighbors. people chose to not to adapt.
unless the young people decide it is time we gave some of time and attention to help someone else, we shall never achieve nation wide development without unity. look at the situation in himendhoo...the drug problems..all problems swept under the rug just because they don't directly affect us at the time...well now shouldn't we wake up? not eat sleep n work but also help out!!!
all theories are perfect in paper...government has the population believing Maldives will be rich n over developed in no time when these resorts n hotels are built...but the truth is it wouldn't be so unless we have the unity n brotherhood we have lost...
its time we all thought about whats around us n actually did something good for the community not because it has direct benefit for self but someone else.. hold your the hands of your brothers in need...hold hands and be united...together we are stronger...
