Well lets look at the political happenings of 2007 and conclude this...Gayyoom has done so much for himself and if we go into a election at this state well loose even in a free and fair election!!!
Now minister in his cabinet are blaming the ones tha left ...like the case of NEw Maldives and Mr.Nasheed. He seems to have deviced a plan all gether for Dr.Shaheed the ex minister to fall into and get entagled in. The case of Hill and KNowlton and the Dr.Shaeedh being accused of knowing everyhting about them and being part of it all...(i personally agree he was) but since hes now in the opposition Mr.Nasheed in a valiant effor tot distance himself from any accusation has desperately presented for all public to view SMS messages sent between him and Dr.Shaheedh about Hill and Knowlton. Well it seems everythign that happened including the spread of news to public media that a group of Ministers actiually decided whom to be arrested especially with political gatherings and when to draw the limits all saying that infact the ministers were at the foefront and not Gayoom on these happenings.. Well it seems now Mr.Gayoom can claim that none of what happened was his fault but rather his ministers who went behind his back...hehehe amazing isnt it????
Devious plan that can acctually work ...leaving the public frustraTED AND MORE CONFUSED and unable to trust anyone, except him.
2008 will be the deciding year of the future of Maldives..now it seems there is no choice but a peaceful reveloution against all the corruption that has left a country in a state of bizzare political and economical situations.

yes as u all say...its all about him.....he's working for himself n nt 4the country....bt hu is working for the country.....politicians???its all about their benefits not others....but we could all agree on tht he's just one clever man....hes been in da political hood for so long their isnt even a close match....nt even in the opposition nor in da rulin party.he's gona win the elctions in 2008 n mark ma words....the international communities are gona be convinced tht it was free and fair election no matter how much they rigged the votes...hehe....so thts whr he's clever.....n thts how hes gona win this....nt tht i believe tht he needs to rig the votes to win the elections but thinking from an opposition supporters view.
tsahnks but lets look at it positively...we can always do something rather than talkinga bout it or waiting for someone else [i.e opposition or MDp]...i eman its our country not jus the politicians...
